COVID-19 Surge Numbers Remain High on Central, South Coasts

The COVID-19 case count continues to rise in the Tri-Counties, as well as the death toll. Four additional deaths have been reported.

More than 330 new cases were confirmed in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties Tuesday.

It was another tough day Tuesday in the battle against COVID-19 on the Central and South Coasts, with more than 330 new cases reported.

Ventura County confirmed 225 additional cases Tuesday, along with two more deaths. Santa Barbara County reported 112 additional cases of the virus Tuesday.

San Luis Obispo County releases numbers twice a week. The county had 378 new cases from Friday through Tuesday, with two more deaths.

Public Health officials say those who are unvaccinated are continuing to drive the surge in the region.
