Some Intentional Power Outages In Place In Ventura County Wednesday, But Many More Possible

Concern about the potential for the high wind leading to power lines starting brush fires has led to some intentional outages in Ventura County. About 2600 customers in the county are currently impacted. They include parts of the Santa Paula, Fillmore, Ojai, Moorpark, and Somis areas.

But, Southern California Edison officials say nearly 80,000 more customers in the county have been warned they could face outages. They say they are monitoring the situation, and are trying to be strategic in only doing the blackouts when absolutely needed.

Santa Barbara amd San Luis Obispo Counties aren’t currently on the lists for potential outages.
