A small brush fire has burned about two acres of brush off of Highway 101 just west of Ventura. The blaze is burning in some thick brush off of the Ventura River, near a campground. There are no buildings in the area.

The blaze is visible to people on Highway 101. Ventura County firefighters say because the brush is so thick, it could grow by a few acres before it's fully contained.
