A gang member is expected to be sentenced to more than two decades behind bars for his role in the July, 2013 murder of a man outside of the Ventura County Fair.
Prosecutors say Timothy Scott Adams pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter for the fatal shooting of Gabriel Gutierrez. He was 17 at the time, but was it was determined he should be tried as an adult.
The now 22 year old Ventura man also pled guilty to a charge of threatening a witness. As a result of the pleas, he is set to receive a 22 year prison sentence when he returns to court for sentencing in November.
