Bear Wanders Into South Coast Neighborhood; Police Say It Was Safely Tranquilized, And Moved

Police in one South Coast City found themselves facing one bear of a problem.

Ventura Police say a 250 pound black bear wandered into a neighborhood near Solano Street and San Bernardino Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

After being called by to the area, officers found the bear in the backyard of a home.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service officers were called and tranquilized the bear, which they then moved outside of the city to a rural area and released.
