A Ventura County based university is creating a new program to offer degrees in hospitality management and tourism.
California Lutheran University’s School of Management developed the program.
Graduates will receive bachelor’s degrees in hospitality and tourism management.
Corporations like AmaWaterways and The Walt Disney Company have committed to creating more than 50 internships to promote the program.
Many participating companies stepped up to provide more than $600,000 in startup money for the effort. The degree is the only one of its type being offered by a private college in Southern California.
