A Ventura County teenager has been arrested for a 2016 murder.
Steven Magallon was shot multiple times last March 26th during a confrontation on the 300 block of Cuesta del Mar in Oxnard. The 31 year old Oxnard man died from his injuries two weeks later.
Detectives have been following up on a number of possible leads for the last year. On Tuesday, they arrested a 16 year old Oxnard boy for the killing.
The teen, whose name we are not using because of his age, was already in custody on an unrelated charge at the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center. Investigators say the teen was just 15 at the time of the shooting, which they believe was a gang related incident.
