One person is dead, and three are hurt following a collision on a state highway in Ventura County which sheriff’s deputies say was caused by a DUI driver.

The crash happened on Highway 126 just east of Fillmore at about 2:30 Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say a westbound driver on Highway 126 slammed into the rear of a car in front of him. The car he hit was pushed into the eastbound lane, where it was hit by an oncoming big rig. The driver of the car which was hit was killed. Highway 126 was closed in the area of the collision for several hours.

The names of those involved in the crash haven’t been released yet.
