The ongoing surge in new coronavirus cases in California has prompted the governor to order more than two dozen of the hardest hit counties to pull back on some business reopenings. Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties are among the counties impacted by the new shutdown order issued by the governor.
Fitness centers, places of worship, offices for non-critical sectors, personal care services, hair salons and barbershops, and indoor malls have to remain closed. There is no timeline for the orders to be lifted.
The governor also ordered all restaurants statewide to shut down indoor dining operations, with outdoor service still allowed. Bars must close unless they have outdoor operations which serve food.
Those rules had already been in effect in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
