After a month-long investigation, two Carpinteria men have been caught for multiple break-ins.

The burglary suspects, Luis Octavio Soto, 35, and Robert Xavier Arzate, 24, were tracked down by the Santa Barbara Police Department.

Investigators say more burglaries may be reported after businesses reopen. The burglaries took place after the closures due to the coronavirus.

The targets included elementary schools, business offices, community centers, and financial offices.

When officials executed search warrants, police recovered stolen property like laptops, and also found burglary tools like lockpicks, bolt cutters, vehicle lockout toolkits, and improvised door openers.

The names of the businesses and schools have not been released.
