Downtown Goleta could be seeing changes on Hollister Avenue unlike anything the city has done in decades.
Several plans are being considered to reduce the traffic lanes, add bike lanes, increase landscaped areas and add benches.
There's also a suggestion to remove the straight curbside parking that's there now, and instead go with angled parking similar to what's in place at Main Street in Ventura.
The city has a grant in excess of $200,000 to pay for the design analysis.
