Investigators believe drugs, alcohol a factor.

An eight month long investigation has led to the arrest of a South Coast woman for what they now say was a DUI-related fatal traffic collision.

The crash happened February 4th, in Oxnard. Oxnard Police investigators say Guadalupe Gonzales was driving an SUV on Eighth Street, when she ran a stop sign and broadsided a car. The driver of the car was fatally injured.

Investigators say they were able to determine that Gonzales ran the stop sign, and that she was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time.

The 30-year-old Port Hueneme woman was arrested this week on a gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated charge.
