A Ventura County supervisor has announced that he won’t seek re-election.
Fourth District Supervisor Bob Huber says he ran in 2018 because he wanted people in the eastern part of the county to have more of a say in local government, as well as improved services.
Huber says he feels like he’s accomplished many of his goals. He wanted to make the announcement now, well before the 2022 election to give potential candidates as much time as possible to talk to community residents.
Huber has been a community leader for decades, serving as a trustee with the Ventura County Community College District, and as a member of the Simi Valley City Council.
