After nearly 15 months of being shut down by the pandemic, some Central and South Coast libraries are reopening. The Santa Barbara Library reopened Tuesday. The Goleta, Solvang, and Buellton libraries will resume in-person service Wednesday.
The libraries will have limited capacity due to COVID-19 safety concerns. The Santa Barbara Library reopened at 25% capacity. The Goleta Library will allow a maximum of 25 visitors at a time, while the Solvang Library will be capped at six, and the Buellton Library at five. Mask wearing and social distancing will also be required.
The Ventura County Library System reopened for in-person service nearly two months ago. The April 7th reopening included libraries in Ojai, Ventura, Port Hueneme, and Fillmore.
