A South Coast library is one of the first in the region to reopen for walk in service, after a more than year long closure due to the pandemic.
The Camarillo Public Library opened its doors this week. Visitors can browse books, check out materials, or pick up pre-selected book bundles.
Items which have been returned, or handled by the public will be put in quarantine for 48 hours as established in state safety guidelines. The library will require patrons to wear masks, and socially distance. There will also be cleaning going on in the library throughout the day.
Because of COVID-19 concerns, most libraries on the Central and South Coasts are currently offering versions of grab and go services. Customers can pick up and return materials, but people can’t browse books. The Camarillo Library’s hours as of now are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
