The death of a woman and a man in Ventura County is now being called a murder/suicide.

Simi Valley Police were called to the 500 block of Fairfield Road in Wood Ranch at around 7  Thursday night by reports of an injured woman.

In the home they found the body of a woman and a man.

An early morning emergency call on the South Coast has turned into a murder case.

Santa Barbara Police were called to the 1300 block of Cacique Street just after one a.m. Saturday by reports of a fight.  They found a seriously injured man, who later died at a hospital.

Detectives aren't releasing any additional details.  The name of the victim hasn't been released yet.

A 911 call about a murder had led to the discovery of a possible murder scene in Ventura County, as well an arrest, but no body.

Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies went to a home on Meyer Road in Meiners Oaks on Sunday. They found a bloody scene at the house which fit with a homicide. No body was found at the scene.

The mother of a three year old Ventura County girl who was murdered could spend the rest of her life behind bars for the killing.

We’re learning more about a triple murder that took place late last month in Santa Barbara County. Forty-three-year-old David Gerald McNabb is accused of killing his sister Nicole, mother Melanie and Carlos Echavarria at their Orcutt home before the suspect died in an officer-involved shooting. 

The Sheriff’s Office now says two deputies fired six less-lethal munitions at David McNabb. But after the suspect pointed a rifle in their direction, deputies fired 23 rifle rounds at him.

A 75 year old Conejo Valley man is dead, and his 75 year old wife is accused of killing him.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives say officers were called to a home on the 500 block of Westlake Boulevard late Wednesday night. They found the body of Arnold Farran, who had been shot. 

A Santa Barbara County man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of brutally stabbing to death his girlfriend and locking her in his room to die.

Prosecutors say Eduardo Robles stabbed Selina Bustos 30 times, locked her up, and fled to Mexico. It took Lompoc Police and Santa Barbara County prosecutors almost two years to bring Robles back to the U.S. to stand trial for the 2012 killing.

A body has been found in Santa Barbara County that authorities say is that of a five-year-old boy who’s been missing since April and whose father is charged with his murder.

The search for Aramazd Andressian Jr. continued on Friday.

“Based on additional leads developed in the Andressian case, Homicide detectives returned to the Lake Cachuma area of Santa Barbara County in an effort to locate additional evidence,” said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy Guillermina Saldana.

A Central Coast man is now being held on a murder charge for the death of his girlfriend.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies called to a home on the 600 block of Pomeroy Road in Nipomo Wednesday found the body of a 24 year old woman who had a stab wound to her neck. Paulina Ramirez-Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives questioned Julio Alonso, who lived at the home, and eventually arrested him on a murder charge. There’s no word on a motive for the killing.
