metrolink crash

It was a day of tears, but also smiles, as families, friends, and community leaders remembered the 25 people who died in the September 12th 2008 Metrolink crash, and the 135 people who were hurt.

But, it was a somber moment at Wednesday’s memorial event at Union Station in Los Angeles, when the names of those who died in the crash were read, as a bell which came from the Metrolink train in the accident was rung.

A final report on a Metrolink train crash in Ventura County which left one man dead and 32 people injured is out, and it says the pickup truck driver who caused it did it accidentally.

Federal investigators have released a massive report on their investigation of the February, 2015 Metrolink accident in Ventura County which left one person dead, and 31 others injured.

The more than 2,000 page report contains information and interviews collected by the National Transportation Safety Board in the wake of the Oxnard accident. However, it doesn’t include conclusions into why the accident happened, with those results still pending. The train plowed into a pickup truck with a trailer which had been driven onto the tracks, and apparently became stuck.
