The newborn is the first of its kind born at the zoo in more than two decades. The species is endangered.

The pandas were born on July 2. One died last week, and the second over the weekend. The causes of their deaths are being investigated.

The second panda is being bottle-fed and has been moved to an incubator.

The twin cubs are part of an international breeding program to try to save the endangered species.

The electric shuttles will operate Friday through Sunday through Labor Day and will serve downtown, the waterfront, and the zoo.

Audrey was a female Masai giraffe which had lived at the zoo since 2010

Rich Block is stepping down as Santa Barbara Zoo President and CEO. He led a number of zoo renovation and expansion projects.

Raj has been living at the Zoo since April, but is now out from behind the scenes, living in his public enclosure.
