A woman who died in an apartment fire on the South Coast is now being identified.
Carla Lautman was found unconscious in her sixth floor apartment on South Palm Street in Ventura May 30th. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
The blaze forced the evacuation of dozens of people, but firefighters were able to contain it to the 55 year old victim’s apartment. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
