A woman is dead after a hit and run incident in Ventura County which may have involved multiple vehicles. Oxnard Police say the 37 year old woman was in the northbound lanes of Ventura Road near Juniper Street just after 11:30 Wednesday night when she was struck by a dark colored SUV. The SUV fled the scene.
Witnesses say it then appeared that several other vehicles also hit the woman, but didn’t stop at the scene. Investigators say it’s unclear as to why the victim was in the street. The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
