It was a wild car chase in Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties which only ended when the driver of a car got stuck in a dirt field, and was subdued with a Taser. CHP officers started pursuing a possible DUI driver on westbound Highway 101 in the San Fernando Valley just after 12 Tuesday morning.
The driver refused to stop, leading offers on a chase hitting 90 miles an hour at times. The car got off the freeway in Camarillo, with officers saying Frank Cunningham ignored some stop signs, and ran some red lights. The car got stuck in a dirt field while Cunningham was making a U-turn on Las Posas Road.
CHP officers say the Camarillo man refused to come out of the car, so they used a beanbag gun to break out a window, and a Taser to subdue him.
He was arrested for evading arrest, resisting arrest, and driving under the influence.
