A fire has forced the closure of a restaurant in the Santa Ynez Valley.
AJ Spurs is a large, well-known eatery established in 1989.
The fire broke out Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m.
Passersby on Highway 246 in Buellton could see flames coming from the roof.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department had several engines on scene.
Investigators say there was a kitchen fire, which activated sprinklers inside.
Damage has been reported to the kitchen, vents, and part of the structure.
The cause is under investigation. No injuries have been reported
