Volunteers Prepare Sandbags For Homeowners Concerned About Post Woolsey Fire Rainfall Issues

Volunteers make sandbags for homeowners in areas affected by the Woolsey Fire in the Conejo Valley

Crews are moving into final mopup mode on the massive Woolsey brush fire in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

The 96,000 acre fire is now 96% contained.  Some 1500 structures have been destroyed.

Public safety officials are keeping an eye on a new concern.  A storm is headed towards the Central and South Coasts.  Meteorologists say the good news is rainfall amounts are expected to be below the threshold for flooding, and debris flows.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports some people are taking no chances, stocking up on sandbags.
