Ventura County Still Reporting No Coronavirus Cases

While coronavirus concerns have continued to grow in the United States, Ventura County health officials say there have been no confirmed cases in the county. Two people in the county have been tested, with one confirmed negative, and the test results on the second still pending. County Public Health officials say the chances that you would encounter someone in the county with the virus are extremely small.

It’s a newly discovered virus, and its exact source is still unknown. Symptoms are similar to the flu. While coronavirus has sparked concern in the U.S., conventional flu has been a much bigger problem. The Centers for Disease Control reports that as many as 30,000 people have died so far this flu season in the U.S.
