The new stay-at-home orders for Southern California, which includes the Central and South Coasts, have again raised the issue of compliance.
Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub says his department will continue its ongoing COVID-19 policy focused on education of violators, as opposed to citations.
The Sheriff's Office has had the same policy in effect since the start of the pandemic. The Sheriff says there have been no citations or arrests made in connection with the health orders. Ayub says county residents have had a high level of compliance, and violators have reacted positively when contacted by deputies.
