Ventura County Prosecutors Go After Landlord For Substandard Housing

Ventura County prosecutors say they've won a court order to force a landlord to deal with issues like mold, and roach and bedbug infestations.

The company known as 850 Warwick Avenue Apartments in Thousand Oaks rents apartments which City of Thosand Oaks, and Ventura County officials say has multiple health and safety issues.

A judge ruled the company must comply with the law, and deal with an array of problems which include inadequate heating, electrical problems, and plumbing issues.

The order prohibits 850 Warwick from intimidating tenants, and also froze the property's assets pending a court hearing in September.
