Ventura County Man Convicted Of Killing At Bus Stop

A Ventura County man has been convicted of first degree murder for a fatal shooting at an Oxnard bus stop. The killing happened in June of 2016, at a bus stop on Ventura Road near Gonzales Road in Oxnard.

Prosecutors say Christopher Gaston pulled his car up to the bus stop, and fired multiple shots at Christopher Camper. The victim died after being hit three times.

Investigators say the killing was premediated, and wasn’t a random attack. Gaston could receive life without the possibility of parole when he’s sentenced next month.
