Ventura County Congresswoman Introduces New Legislation To Help Homeless Veterans

A Ventura County congresswoman has co-authored new legislation intended to fight homelessness among veterans.

The Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program Improvement Act would broaden the definition of who is homeless, to insure they can continue to get job training assistance. The bill is being co-sponsored by Democratic Congresswoman Julia Brownley of Westlake Village, and Republican Congressman Brad Wenstrup of Ohio.

In addition to making the program available to more veterans, it would reauthorize it for five years.
