Ventura County Congresswoman Introduces Bill Focused On Expanding Medical Care For Veterans

A Ventura County congresswoman wants to make more holistic medical services available to veterans. A new bill introduced by Democratic Congresswoman Julia Brownley of Westlake Village would require the Veterans Administration to expand research and education on the effectiveness of the services, and take steps to make them available.

The legislation would open the door to things like animal assisted therapy and acupuncture, and target issues like chronic pain and insomnia.
