Coronavirus concerns have led to the closure of a number of government offices and facilities on the Central and South Coasts. Ventura County has closed most of its buildings, with the exception of hospitals and clinics. Many county services are still available online, and county phone lines are being staffed during business hours.
The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office is closed to the public through the end of the month.
But, staff members will still be available by phone. The City of Thousand Oaks has closed its City Hall, Municipal Service Center, and Transportation Center for at least two weeks. Like many other agencies, the city will still staff phone lines during business hours.
On the Central Coast, the City of Santa Maria closed all Recreation and Parks Department facilities, and postponed all recreation programming through March. The city’s parks remain open, but no group activities are permitted
