California Lutheran University has created a new school which provides opportunities for people who aren't necessarily working towards bachelor's or graduate level degrees.
The School for Professional and Continuing Studies will offer things like a program for older adults who want to take non-credit classes just for the joy of learning.
The new school will include the existing Bachelor's Degree for Professionals program. It's a program which allows adult students who had completed some classes but never received their degrees to attend school at night so they can finally graduate.
And, the University's Center for Nonprofit Leadership will also be under the umbrella of the new school. Cal Lutheran officials say they are looking at adding additional majors to meet evolving community needs.
Cal Lutheran is the parent of KCLU Radio.
