In Ventura County, the one of a kind program is allowing some budding artists to express their vision of art in many different ways.

Camarillo-based Kindling Studios gives young artists the chance to create.

The five year old program tries to provide the support for so participants can find their artistic voices.  In a room at Studio Channel Islands, which is a former school campus, you see the artists working on a variety of projects.

The studio is showcasing its artists this weekend.  It’s hosting its Fifth Annual Sparkler event Saturday.  There’s a gallery exhibition where you can see the art, meet the artists, plus enjoy live music and food trucks. It’s one of the biggest events of the year for the non-profit, which relies on fundraisers and donations to survive.  It’s 4-8 p.m. Saturday, at the Studio Channel Islands complex in Camarillo.
