Unemployment Makes Major Drops On Central, South Coasts

There’s good news about the economy for the Central and South Coast. Just released numbers show major drops in unemployment throughout the region.

The jobless rate for Ventura County went from 3.9% in August to 3.2% in September. Santa Barbara County’s unemployment rate made a huge drop, from 3.4% to 2.8%. And, in San Luis Obispo County, the month to month number dipped from 3% to 2.4%. California’s jobless rate was 4% in September, a record low.

The state’s economy has now grown for 155 straight months, which is an all time record.
