Two Rounds Of Rain In Forecast For Central, South Coasts

Big change is on the way for the weather on the Central and South Coasts, with two rounds of rain in the forecast. The first round is expected Saturday, and it’s not expected to amount to much. The Central Coast could get a tenth of an inch of rain. The South Coast may just get a few sprinkles. It won’t pose a concern for the region’s brush fire burn zones.

It will be cloudy, and cool. Then, a cutoff low will tap into some sub-tropical moisture Sunday. It could bring rain late Sunday into Monday, with heavier rain on Tuesday.

The latest forecast models show that the heaviest rain could be in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties, with an inch of rain on the coast, and up to three inches in the foothills and mountains. At this point, there are no watches or warnings for the region’s brush fire burn zones.
