Two Police Officers Hurt In Controntation With South Coast Man Wanted For Child Annoyance

Two South Coast police officers were hurt in a confrontation with a man accused of child annoyance.

Ventura Police say two boys were near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Colton Street Sunday night when Tyler Spann rode up to them on a bike.

The kids told police that the 32 year old man made some inappropriate comments which scared them, so they ran to a nearby fast food restaurant for help.

Officers found Spann a short distance away, and they say as they tried to question him he started fighting.

Officers finally arrested him, but not before two of them suffered minor injuries. They didn’t require hospital treatment. Police say he’s charged with resisting arrest, delaying an police officer, and child annoyance.
