Two Dead In Plane Crash On South Coast

Ventura County firefighters on the scene of a plane crash which killed two in Camarillo Wednesday afternoon

Two people are dead following a plane crash on the South Coast. It happened Wednesday afternoon, at Camarillo Airport. An experimental aircraft crashed off of the airport’s main runway at around 1:30 p.m.

Captain Brian McGrath, with the Ventura County Fire Department says the two people on board the single engine aircraft were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names haven’t been released.

Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating to try to determine the cause of the crash.
