Two major bike lane projects on the South Coast could get key approvals this week, as part of what could be a $7.8 million dollar program. Ventura County Supervisors are set to consider two projects in the Oxnard area.
One would add 2.3 miles of bike lanes on Rose Avenue, and another would built 2.4 miles of lanes on Rice Avenue. County officials are recommending $1.8 million dollars in funding for the bike lanes for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. They are also suggesting an additional six million dollars be allocated for bike lane projects in the county from 2021 to 2024.
