Two Accidents Cause Major Travel Disruption In Santa Barbara County

LAST UPDATE - 1:00 PM

Two traffic accidents are disrupting travel in northern Santa Barbara County this afternoon.

The California Highway Patrol reopened the #2 lane of southbound US 101 south of Buellton at 12:30.

The #1 lane will remain closed until further notice.

All lanes were closed at Santa Rosa Rd around 9:45 Thursday morning after a pickup truck and trailer went through a railing at Three Bridges.

State Route 1 remains closed in Lompoc where it meets State Route 246. A fuel spill on Highway 1 west of Las Cruces led to a closure of that highway around 9 this morning.

Crews are still working on cleanup.

The ripple effects of the two closures linger.

The eastbound 154 is congested through Foxen Canyon and Los Olivos, and from Lake Cachuma, over the San Marcos Pass and into Santa Barbara.

Highway 246 is also slow from the 101 to Solvang, and at the junction with the 154.
