Trio Arrested For What Detectives Are Now Calling Gang Related Murder On Central Coast

Three men have been arrested in what authorities now say was a gang related murder on the Central Coast. Residents of an Oceano home were awakened April 3rd by a man who knocked on their front door in the middle of the night, and said he had been shot. Daniel Fuentes Junior died a short time later.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s detectives say using forensic evidence and tips, they were able to identify three members of what’s known as the Oceano 13 gang as suspects. Robert Garay, Gabriel Garay and Nathaniel Jara were arrested for the killing.

The three men were already in the San Luis Obispo County Jail on unrelated charges when detectives arrested them. Detectives aren’t saying why they think the 41 year old Oceano man was targeted.
