Transit System In Ventura County Looking For Public Comments On Expansion Proposals

A Ventura County community is asking for the public’s help in developing the future of its transit system.

This week, Thousand Oaks Transit will hold the first three of five planned public meetings on potential changes, and expansion of its service. The ideas range from adding service to Agoura Hills, to connecting with bus systems in Moorpark and Simi Valley. Another proposal calls for expanding the existing six days a week service to seven days a week, by running busses on Sunday.

The first two public meetings will take place on Friday, with a 9:30 a.m. session at the Hillcrest Center in Thousand Oaks, and a 6 p.m. meeting at Thousand Oaks City Hall. There will be a third meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, at California Lutheran University’s Swenson Center.
