Tow Truck Driver Gets Prison Sentence For Hit And Run Accident Which Left Ventura Teen Dead

A tow truck driver has been sentenced to two years in prison for a fatal hit and run collision in Ventura County which left a teenage boy dead.

Hermin Martin Trujillo Henderson was driving eastbound on Telegraph Road in Ventura when he struck Jonathan Hernandez at the Saticoy Avenue intersection. The 14 year old boy died at the scene.

Prosecutors say the 53 year old Ventura man didn’t stop, washed his truck to remove evidence of the collision, and lied to police.

He was convicted of fleeing the scene of an accident involving death, and concealing evidence of a crime in connection with the 2016 accident.
