Thursday Night Meeting To Lay Out Long-Term Recovery Plans, And Concerns, For Montecito

A town hall meeting has been set for Thursday night in Montecito Union School to talk about the new concerns after the recent mudslide disaster.

The reshaping of the creeks and landscaping along with still-clogged drainages and chokepoints are a serious concern in the face of another possible rainstorm or earthquake.

There will also be weeks of private property, mud and debris cleanup ahead, which are a concern.

Local emergency officials have also premiered a new digital map that will show where the dangerous or vulnerable areas are.

The meeting has been set for 6 p.m.
