Three Teens Arrested After Police Say Fireworks Start Brush Fire In Ventura County

Three Ventura County teens are in a lot of trouble after police say they started a brush fire with fireworks.

A Simi Valley Police officer saw smoke coming from the area of Barnard and Kadota Streets Wednesday afternoon.

She called the Ventura County Fire Department, which was able to put out the blaze before any buildings were damaged. A nearby resident told police they saw three teens running from the area where the fire started.

Officers say they found the three teens, and arrested them on misdemeanor arson charges.
