They Should Have Phoned It In; Two Arrested Following Phone Store Robbery In Ventura County

Police say two robbers thought they had successfully stolen thousands of dollars worth of smart phones in Ventura County, but they were arrested as they tried to flle to LA.. Simi Valley Police say a man and woman from Los Angeles entered a phone store on the 2200 block of Tapo Street just after 7 Thursday night.

After claiming they had a gun, an employee was forced into a back room and the duo fled with a bagful of smart phones. Responding police officers spotted the duo headed back to LA on Highway 118 and were able to safely stop, and arrest them in Granada Hills.
