Test Results Back From Second Suspected Coronavirus Case In Ventura County; Both Turn Out Negative

Ventura County Public Health officials say test results for both suspected coronavirus cases in the county have now turned out negative.

Officials say there are no confirmed cases in the county, and no pending test results.

They are trying to reassure the public that the chances of getting the flu-like virus in our region are very low.

Early testing for the virus in the United States initially called for samples to be sent to the Centers for Disease Control, but the county now has the capacity to do the tests locally.  The coronavirus is a previously unknown form of the virus, and its source is still unknown.
