Teen Facing A Half Dozen Charges After Rampage With SUV In Ventura County

A CHP car was one of the seven vehicles hit by a SUV that authorities say was intentionally being used to ram vehicles in Ventura County. Two people were hurt, including a CHP officer.

Authorities are now identifying a teen they say went on a rampage with a SUV in Ventura County, intentionally hitting several vehicles and injuring two people, including a CHP officer.

It started just before seven Thursday night. Investigators sat Carlos Lozano hit some parked cars in a Camarillo neighborhood, and fled. They say his parents came out to talk to neighbors about how to handle the situation, but the 18 year old returned and tried to hit his parents with the SUV. They were unhurt, but the SUV then hit three more vehicles en route to the 101 freeway.

Lozono then drove southbound on the 101, where he slammed into a CHP car parked on the shoulder. A CHP officer and the driver of the car the stranded car the officer was helping both suffered minor injuries. Lozano was arrested at the scene. He faces six counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon.
