Sun, Rain, Hail, And Even Snow All In One Day For Central, South Coasts

Some snowflakes on a Thousand Oaks school campus

Thursdsay was an interesting day for weather on the Central and South Coasts, with a bit of everything: Some rain, some sun, some hail, and even some snow in unexpected places. A cold storm system moving through the region is responsible for the wild mix of weather. There was some hail in the Montecito area. But, the snow was really what got a lot of people excited.

There was snow down to around 1000 feet in some areas, including the Conejo Grade, the foothills around Newbury Park, and even some flakes in Thousand Oaks itself.  The snow didn't stick in most places, but it was enough for people to pull out their cameras.

The storm will clear Thursday night. It will be cold Thursday night into Friday, and then we’ll have mostly clear skies, and warmer weather for the next few days.
