Meteorologists say what appears to be a fairly impressive storm system is headed our way, one which could bring as much as four inches of rain to some of our mountain areas. Public safety officials are keeping a close eye on the storm, but so far there are no evacuation watches or warnings.
The rainfall is expected to move onto the Central Coast Wednesday afternoon, with the heaviest rainfall in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. Then, the latest computer models show heavier rainfall being directed onto the South Coast by the jet stream Thursday.
We could see one to two inches of rain in coastal and inland areas, and up to four inches in the mountains. So far, no watches or warnings have been issued for potential problems in the region’s brush fire burn zones.
