A South Coast bar which has controversially defied the State’s order to close outside dining, has had their health permit revoked and could lose their liquor license.
Cronies in Agoura Hills has caused concerns for the local community - with protests and social gatherings taking place almost daily - as the sports bar continued to serve food and drink in person in violation of the State and County Health Order.
The Mayor of Agoura Hills, Denis Weber, told KCLU News on Tuesday that he is a customer of Cronies, and hopes the ban on outdoor dining is lifted.
"My personal opinion is that I wish they would reconsider these orders," he said.
The City of Agoura Hills told residents that it does not have its own health department, and therefore relies on the Los Angeles County Public Health Department as the enforcement authority responsible for ensuring compliance with public health laws.
LA County Public Health revoked their health permit on Saturday – which they can appeal but they are prohibited from conducting any business operations.
The State Department of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) is conducting their own investigation, which could result in the revocation of their liquor license.
