South Coast Hospital Network Moves Ahead With Plans To Expand Coverage Area

A health care network on the Central and South Coasts isn’t letting the coronavirus crisis stop it from a major expansion plan.
Cottage Health is set to open the first of 10 new urgent care centers planned for the region.

The first one will be in the Hollister Village business complex in Goleta.  It will open Tuesday.

The centers will deal with things like cold and flu symptoms, as well as other minor ailments and injuries.  More serious cases will still be directed to hospital emergency rooms.

The urgent care centers are a major expansion for the Santa Barbara based health care network, with plans calling for the facilities to be added from Camarillo to San Luis Obispo.
